BACKCOUNTRY SNOWMOBILING: RABBIT EARS ZONE - COLORADO - 11.15.2010

Today was deep, one of the deep ones for sure! Good crew and lots of powder tools, we made it half way up to the zone. Dave Bourassa, Jonn Miller and I hit it mid-storm and spent the day cutting dead fall, getting stuck, getting mad, getting wet, whiterooming, breaking trail, getting stuck and a bunch more. After five hours we had enough and hit the road for home and drier land.

11.13.2010 2ND ANNUAL AVALANCHE/BEACON OLYMPICS - COLORADO BACKCOUNTY

The 2nd annual beacon day went off today along with the Sled Betties premiere at Beau Jo's in Idaho Springs! Super good time and lots good good people! Figured out my old school BCA tracker picks up a signal half as well as a newer tracker. Time for an upgrade.. Anyone who we met today and didn't get info from hit me up! jp[AT]weknowsnow.com.. Peter, bomb chili!!
