LOVELAND AND JONES PASS

Went and hiked the ridge off Loveland Pass yesterday after 4-6" new. Dropped 3 runs back down to the pick up spot and went to finish the day at the resort. Everything has been hit pretty hard by the sun and we need another storm bad! Today I went up to Jones to test out some satellite imagery layers on the GPS. Rode the Dragon since she doesn't get out much anymore. Met some cool dudes and showed them the goods on the backside, also the cabin. What up Mick and Simon!!

UNNAMED ZONE: HELMET CAM POV.1

The video...

COLORADO BACKCOUNTRY: UNNAMED ZONE EPIC

We have been checking out this new zone for a while now on google earth and the gps. Today we finally went for it. Jordan slayed on the 162".. it took us almost 5 hours to break trail and build road up to this new bowl. The bowl is huge and amazing, all north facing gullies, jumps, berms, meadows and climbs. Amazing snowboard run all the way down.. It was bluebird all day, and started to get gray and snowy just as we made it up the most epic technical section anyone of us have ever hit. Jordan nailed it first try on the 162".. seriously technical riding.. 4 hours of building road and getting stuck, no trail here.. 7 hours of total riding just to break this zone.. I doubt anyone has ever been up here on a snowmobile before.. holy shit balls. Check the pics, and some helmet cam to come... I'm having my first drink in two weeks to celebrate. happy no trails ballers!

Stuck.. the crux of the most technical section.. Jordans 162" track in front of me..

Made it bitch..

Jason on the 162", yea it was that steep we had to switch sleds...

THE REWARD.... WHAT SHOULD WE NAME IT?

Clouds rollin' in.. of course.. we will be back another day.

Had to climb and boon it up... Jordan

The 2010 season so far...

INDIAN PEAKS SNOW CONDITIONS

Went on a long splitboard tour in Indian Peaks Wilderness to Frosty. Snow conditions were variable at best. Lots of crust, ice layers and punchy in many areas.
