BACKCOUNTRY SNOWMOBILING: NO CO 1.22.2012

BACKCOUNTRY SNOWMOBILING: WOLF CREEK 12.16-17.2011

Finally found some of the first signs of winter this season! Chasing snow, we made it down to Wolf Creek this last weekend. Every trip to Wolf Creek is a good one and this was no exception. Although the snow coverage was seriously low compared to how it normally is, we found some awesome pow. Blew up the chain case hitting a rock at about 40 on the HCR, hopefully no other real damage. Amazing bluebird conditions and zero wind. Super super cold in the morning at 8am when we hit the trail.. -15F !!!!

Minus bottom half of chain case!

BACKCOUNTRY SNOWBOARDING: SLED ACCESS RUNS NO. CO 12.10.2011

Went snowboarding in the backcountry. Found some super fun tree runs and deep pow. We've reverted to our roots of snowboarding while the snow fail train continues.

BACKCOUNTRY SNOWMOBILING: COLORADO TRAIL MAINTENANCE 12.03.2011

The snow is sucking this season so far and we've had tons of wind. Spent most of the weekend chopping out dead fall and clearing some of the lower trails. At least it has been bluebird.

BACKCOUNTRY SNOWMOBILING: WYOMING 11.23.2011 - 11.26.2011

Wyoming was pretty good considering the lack of snow this year. We rode for 3 days out from Jordan's cabin. Yesterday the forecast called for three inches.. we ended up finding 3 foot, and some rocks! Jordan ripped a ski off of the m8 about 30 miles from the truck, he rode it on one ski all the way back!! Impressive.
