New feature on weknowsnow.com, This page updates hourly with harvested values from Colorado SNOTEL stations. Each graph represents a Colorado zone and each graph has 6 SNOTEL stations related to that zone. Mouseover any value on the graphs below to get current snow depth data or other data points. The charts below allow the user to quickly glance and determine snow depth and general information about the zone. The graph legend displays the SNOTEL station name and Station ID. Note: There is an hour or so lag behind the current time as we wait for new SNOTEL data to filter down. New data around :20 past each hour.

I’m still working out some bugs and a few data issues but generally things are working properly. Lots of additions and tweaks coming in the future.

My friend Andrew gave me a call and needed help getting his sled (blown engine) out of the backcountry. We used the Mountain Lite to tow his sled down and back to the trailhead. It was much easier then we anticipated as we were battling 80 mph winds and lots of blowing snow. Here are a few shots. Photos by Alex.

Yesterday Alex and I decided to do a last minute afternoon sled recon trip up to the Indian Peaks. 5 miles or so up the trail, Alex is almost out of gas. We decided to park his sled and continue on my sled riding tandem. Had a chance to check out the snow conditions and depth, things look really good in the trees and very wind loaded up high and near treeline. We spent most of the day ripping the sled around having a good time.
