Loveland Pass was very deep today, although the weather was really awful. High winds and lots of blowing snow made driving next to impossible, but the tree’s were skiing great. Mike, Alex, Dave and I met up at the pass around 7am and started to shuttle the normal spots. Lots of good snow and plenty of wind blown we had no trouble finding great lines and lots of blower pow. After first tri’s, we took a few laps off deadwood and found even more untracked snow. High winds all day combined with new snow has filled in all areas very nicely. We spent a lot of the day filming even though it was almost complete whiteout conditions, some of the lines were too good to pass up. We took two laps down sheep creek and had a small slide break on me while descending the ridge. Very heavy windloaded areas are everywhere. Lots of people riding without any rescue gear. Really no need to write much more about this day, it was pretty damn good and the video explains it all.

Alex and Mike took off so Dave and I ended up hitch hiking the rest of the day, each lap we took our time and filmed certain features or things we wanted to hit. The video was shot with two different camera’s, and edited by JP. Filming on the Vail Pass and Loveland Pass video was done by JP, Dave B. (iskibc).
