Colorado Backcountry: N. Colorado Recon

Jordan and I went up to check out the snow, recon a new zone and hopefully find a new spot. I wouldn't say we were 100% successful, but we did find a nice area that's gonna need a lot of work to make productive. We found a couple of old logging roads that we need to clear a bit, but those get us to the top of the ridge where most of these pictures were taken. Notice the really sweet north facing stuff across the valley and sick lines. The north facing stuff was holding snow really well, we saw up to 2 feet in areas already.

Colorado Backcountry: Fly Fishing Never Summer Zone - 08-30-2008

Finally pulled myself away from the computer and went up fly fishing with Jordan and Jason. We did a 10 or 11 mile round trip hike into the Never Summer to hit the high alpine lakes. It was a really nice day, and the fishing was really good. We cooked up a nice cutty that we caught on the lower lake and had a fresh trout lunch... pretty rad! Scouted out some new snowmobile zones and also found a pretty sick mountain bike downhill trail. Some pictures....
